Foundations of Counseling Psychology: Introduction/helping/basics of helping, objective, key ingredients of successful helping, focus on client and context- what client brings in session, role of beliefs, values, norms and moral principles, in the helping, helping clients redo poor decisions and make and execute life-enhancing decisions, Qualities of an effective helper. 

Theories & Systems of Psychology:  Concept of personality, the psychoanalytic perspective, the social cognitive perspective, the humanistic perspective, assessing human personality, factors influencing personality development.

Philosophy of Clinical Psychology: Working with children and families, working with adults in psychological difficulty, working with people with disabilities and physical health problems, current professional issues in clinical psychology.

Counselling Skills & Techniques: Psychodynamic therapy, medical model, behavioral model, humanistic psychotherapy, stress and health problem, altering bodily reactions and relaxation, dhyana (Meditation), physical exercise and nutrition.

Counselling in Special Cases: Psychological disorders, causes of abnormal behavior, types of disorders, panic disorder, phobia, obsessive- compulsive disorder, somatoform disorder, personality disorder.
